Luke 10:23-24 (ESV)
Then turning to the disciples he said privately, "Blessed are the eyes that see what you see! For I tell you that many prophets and kings desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it."
I do wonder if the disciples thought they were blessed to see it… Their Lord, their master, their rabbi, their teacher and friend hounded by the world, berated, persecuted, and crucified.
But yes they were blessed, and we are blessed to see it too, if only through their eyes. For here in what they saw with their eyes, was our salvation.
