Jesus is Baptized

Mark 1:9-11 (ESV) In those days Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan. [10] And when he came up out of the water, immediately he saw the heavens opening and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. [11] And a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased." The thing about Mark, is he is short and to the point. He seems to leave out half the story. Or only concentrate on the absolute essentials. In any case, Jesus gets baptized, and the Trinity shows up. The Father from heaven speaks, identifying what makes him the Father, His Son with whom he is well pleased. The Greek emphasizes the beloved bit. The Holy spirit descends as a dove. Jesus is the one who bears the Spirit now, the Spirit that gives life. He is the anointed one who with his death, will bring life to the world.
