To Little Children

Matthew 11:25-27 (ESV)
At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; [26] yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. [27] All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.
Nepios, little children, infants, He revealed them to little children. Some would say this just means those who are of simple mind. Though it is infants that praise him in the temple, something to think about. Of course these things are revealed to infants in baptism, where a relationship of faith is first formed.
On the other hand there are many people of extreme intelligence who are also given this faith. But the faith is always given to those who receive it like little children, like infants. Our own wisdom our own intelligence but gets in the way. But by the gracious will of the Father these things are handed over to us, so that we might know his Son, and knowing his Son, know him.
