Rev. 21:1-4 (ESV)
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. [2] And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. [3] And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. [4] He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning nor crying nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
A new heaven and a new earth. God created this world for man. The new heaven and the new earth will also be created for man. I imagine all the same original stipulations will apply about having dominion over the animals and the earth itself. Not sure about that be fruitful and multiply part given Luke 20, but you get the picture. Life will be what it was supposed to be originally. And it will be more enjoyable than it is now. No mourning, no crying, no pain. The former things having passed way, like death and sin, and dying. And God will dwell with us as he once dwelt with Adam and Eve, walking and talking with them in the garden.

The be fruitful and multiply verse has also been a bit of a problem for me as well, as far as the "new creation" of heaven & earth...I was glad to leave that part behind as I grew older...I really feel sorry for the Mormon wives though...they don't get to edit that part out...*; )
