To Save the World.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. And this is the judgment: the light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the light because their works were evil. For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his works should be exposed. But whoever does what is true comes to the light, so that it may be clearly seen that his works have been carried out in God.” (John 3:16-21 (ESV)
“For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.” The world was condemned already, the ground has been cursed with Adam’s fall. No one needs to condemn the world. God wants the world saved. He wants to save the world. Not just a few people but the whole world, every one, you, me and even the Calvinists. But for this his son had to die. For this his son had to become man and withhold judgment offering forgiveness through his blood on the cross, for your sins. For your sins, he did this for you. See I can say that, because you are part of the world he came to save. You the sinner, whether or not you are repentant or sorrowful, you are the reason Jesus died, he came to forgive you. So that you might have something to believe in, a way out of the despair, and believing in Jesus, lifted up as Moses lifted the serpent, you are given life eternal.
