Checking Out/ Checking In!

“And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves, 26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 27 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. 28 Now when these things begin to take place, straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” (Luke 21:25-28)
So much for the secret rapture. Straighten up and raise your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.
So once you figure out that you live in and amidst the tribulation, the end times no longer cause fear. Seriously, the tribulation is this world, it is what this world has been giving Christians for 2,000 years. Sometimes it is worse than at other times, and the tribulation travels too, hitting different areas.
But yes, we live in this world and it isn’t always pretty. The end of days is then in a way something to look forward too. It is the ultimate check out, or is it a check in? I mean we get to check out of this world, which on its best days seems something around a 2 star hotel. But then we will be checking in to a five star resort, each getting our own mansion. Sounds like a deal to me. Definitely something to look forward to.
