Sometime Tomorrow

I'll be back.
My day got off to a bad start. I'm trying to get bulletins done. I ended up spending the morning reading a book called "We Sinners". I didn't mean to. But I started and the book wouldn't let go. It provided much fodder for introspection, the whole story being about Finnish Pietists growing up in Michigan. I found myself relating more than I cared. So if you want to write something I wrote, read the review I linked to. If you like it say so, because the reviews I wrote concerning a few texts on Evolution are hammering my ratings on Amazon.

So it doesn't just happen in Baptist, Brethren, Wesleyan, or (fill in the blank) circles...

Interesting. Who knew of this sect? Excellent review pointing the reader to THE HAMMER OF GOD!

Bill, no it doesn't.
It's strange but, given the doctrine espoused in the Bible and the Book of Concord, it should never happen in "Lutheran" circles. Yet it does. This is the result of self-righteousness, and teaching people they have to earn salvation by living in such and such a manner, by doing this or not doing that, by belonging to this group or that group. It's sad really. I can't imagine what it is like to be told you can't be part of a family anymore if you don't... I don't think I could ever do that to my son. It makes me nauseous just thinking of that.
