Reports Went Out About Him.

Luke 4:37 (ESV)
And reports about him went out into every place in the surrounding region.
The people evangelized. They told others about Jesus. It caused a stir. Jesus doesn’t tell them too. The people are so amazed that they simply do. It is something they begin to talk to their neighbors about because they are so amazed with what they have heard. When we believe it, don’t we tell others? Discuss it with them? It’s the natural thing to do. Of course it is also natural to become fearful when your words are met with hostility rather than acceptance. When something you believe is ridiculed by people you love. And it is a tough thing. Yet, evangelism does not have to be contrived and forced, it can be as natural as talking about your favorite t.v. show, or speaking words of comfort to a friend in need. It really doesn’t need to be done with threats of hell, and long drawn out appeals for praying the sinner’s prayer. Just a simple statement of fact. Tell them what Jesus did.
