3 Nephi 14:15 [Book of Mormon] “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” Not much to say on this one, just found it a bit ironic…..
But then, I believe Jesus has the title of the last prophet.
I don't know that the gift of prophecy is dead, per se, but no one has it as a full-time vocation, and certainly anyone who adds to the prophetic words of scripture doesn't deserve it at all.
Well he said he believes Jesus was the last prophet. Amos tells us, "Surely the Lord GOD will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets." If that is true and if there are no more prophets then it follows that God is doing nothing.

Hey, "beware false prophets" doesn't mean that all prophets are false. Latter Day Saints don't follow just any prophet you know.
Yup, that's exactly why it's so ironic.

Sure Benjamin, but I done did read Joseph Smith's book, and the verdict is in on that one.
That is what I'm a saying here.
Jonathan, Joseph Smith Jr. wasn't a full-time prophet either.
Benjamin,
Some would debate whether he was even a part time prophet. But do you care to answer to Jonathan's other point?

You realize that your last statement here makes no sense, right?
