Not by the Law Alone?

[Book of Mormon] Mosiah 13: 28
“And moreover, I say unto you, that salvation doth not come by the law alone; and were it not for the atonement which God himself shall make for the sins and iniquities of his people; that they must unavoidably perish, notwithstanding the law of Moses.”
“Salvation does not come by the law alone”? I didn’t think it came by the law at all. It is the law of God that makes necessary the atonement that Abinadi speaks about in this same verse. I’m just going to throw out a vew verses to illustrate this from the Bible.
Romans 3:20 (ESV)
“For by works of the law no human being will be justified in his sight, since through the law comes knowledge of sin. “
Romans 3:24 (ESV)
“and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,”
Romans 3:28 (ESV)
“For we hold that one is justified by faith apart from works of the law. “
Galatians 2:16 (ESV)
“yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.”
I could find a few more, but I’m just going to let these rest. Either we are justified by faith in the atonement, saved by that, or we are not saved at all. There is not half-way with God. The law condemns that’s what it does to us. Jesus saves.

Mormons ought throw away that man-made, phoney "holy book" (BOM) and stick to the Bible.
