What is Ziff

[Book of Mormon] Mosiah 11:8
And it came to pass that King Noah built many elegant and spacious buildings; and he ornamented them with fine work of wood , and of all manner of precious things, of gold, and of silver, and of Iron, and of brass, and of ziff, and of copper;
So one is left asking not only where these buildings are, but what is ziff?

My uncle used to work with ziff as he was eating Jiff. It was in the middle of the lake so he took the skiff. He needed some help so he took along Biff. But Biff couldn't hold it, and uncle got a wiff. Words were exchanged as they got into a tiff.

I'm writing this post after drinking a fiff.
