The Day is Coming.

James 5:7-11 (ESV)
Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient about it, until it receives the early and the late rains. [8] You also, be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand. [9] Do not grumble against one another, brothers, so that you may not be judged; behold, the Judge is standing at the door. [10] As an example of suffering and patience, brothers, take the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. [11] Behold, we consider those blessed who remained steadfast. You have heard of the steadfastness of Job, and you have seen the purpose of the Lord, how the Lord is compassionate and merciful.

Now here is a hint of Gospel. Be patient until the coming of the lord… for the coming of the Lord is at hand. Guys, here it is. This world and all that is in it is passing away. The things we think mean so much today, well if they meant so much they wouldn’t wear out like a garment. There is one thing, and one thing only needful, the word of God that will never fade. As for me there are days I am not so patient in my waiting. I would have liked him to have come yesterday. But in His time He will come. In the mean time, we can be thankful for the day we have, and the opportunity to show Christ’s love to someone else in this world. Patience, some say it is a virtue.
