2 Thes. 2:16-17 (ESV)
Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope through grace, [17] comfort your hearts and establish them in every good work and word.
Comfort. It is the joy of the Christian. We have comforted hearts. Oh they grieve the loss of loved ones, and are anxious for others. But they never doubt that salvation is theirs because they know that Jesus has accomplished all for them. No telling how comforting that is. No need to worry because you haven’t had and experience. No need to worry because you don’t know if you have done enough. Don’t need to worry. Be comforted. And from that assurance good works, and good words flow.
