Labor in the Lord is not in Vain

[53] For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. [54] When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:
"Death is swallowed up in victory."
[55] "O death, where is your victory?
O death, where is your sting?"
[56] The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law. [57] But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
[58] Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that in the Lord your labor is not in vain. 1 Cor. 15:53-58 (ESV)

The Perishable will put on the imperishable. Mortality will put on immortality. Then we will all taunt death swallowed up in victory. We will sing “O death, where is your victory? O death where is you sting. The sting of death is sin, and it will be no longer. Sin is the poison of the scorpion, that causes us to die. Sin will be ended on the last day, it will be known no more. For the power of sin is the law, and in heaven there will be no law, only grace. The power of sin is the law. Those who do not preach the gospel, but only the law, are counter productive. Rather than curbing sin, they give it power, power to kill. Rather than curbing sin, they awaken it, and inspire it. Only the grace of God, and the forgiveness of sins can squelch the law. Only the gospel can put an end to sin. So living in the gospel the forgiveness of sins, we do the work of the Lord, and know that in the Lord, our labor is not in vain.
